Wild Weasel of the Week: Senior Airman William Beasley

 

Each week a member of the 35th Fighter Wing is selected as the Wild Weasel of the Week. This individual is recognized based on superior performance, outstanding work ethic, and overall good conduct and discipline.
The 35th Security Forces Squadron chose Senior Airman William Beasley, base defense operations controller, as its Wild Weasel of the Week.

What's your daily mission:
I take command and control of on-duty security forces personnel. I also dispatch emergency services to the locations where they are needed.

What do you enjoy about your job:
I like the challenge and responsibility associated with being in law enforcement. The job requires a diverse skill set and allows me to think of new ways to approach a situation.

Why did you choose to serve in the military:
I joined primarily to better myself and continue my education.

What is your favorite thing about being in Japan?
I find the culture fascinating and the people very kind and welcoming.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her:
Staff Sgt. Gqwon Morton. He has taught me a lot about law enforcement and how to be patient.

Time in Misawa: 2 years

Time in military: 3 years

Goals you want to achieve or meet while in Misawa:
I would like to travel more and continue my education.
