Misawa Airmen continue Agile Combat Employment training
The Greek philosopher Heraclitus once said, “The only constant in life is change.” That’s true in how we learn, how we teach, and even how the military operates in the defense of the United States, its interests, and its allies. It is that thought of change that 24 U.S. Airmen assigned to various units of the 35th Fighter Wing came together during an Agile Combat Employment, or ACE, practice capstone event at Misawa Air Base, Japan, March 13, 2020.

Misawa defenders aim high and win big
Three Airmen from the 35th Security Forces Squadron emulated the Air Force’s core value of “excellence in all we do” by standing out amongst other defenders within the Pacific Air Forces. PACAF awarded top honors to three Misawa Wild Weasel Defenders: Master Sgt. Andrew Contreras, a chief of standardization and evaluations, Airman 1st Class Jessica Carino, an armorer and Airman 1st Class Holly Villalta, a base defense operations center controller.

The 35th LRS builds on lessons learned from exercise, teams up with Security Forces
The 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron conducted an agile combat employment exercise at Misawa Air Base, Japan, June 28. The ACE concept challenges Airmen to operate in an austere environment with limited basing, while testing their abilities to quickly and efficiently land, set-up operations, fly, pack and transport themselves at a moment’s notice.
