Valid forms of identification include a passport, driver's license, my number card, or a residence identification card.

All non-Japanese and non-U.S. visitors are required to bring a passport or other government issued photo ID.

Shuttle Service for North Base residents

A shuttle will operate between the Thrift Shop and the Passenger Terminal throughout the event.

  • Thrift Shop: First departure at 8:40 a.m.; final departure at 3:40 p.m.
  • Passenger Terminal: First departure at 9 a.m.; final departure at 4 p.m.
  • Shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes in both directions.

 

Attendees are encouraged to use the shuttle service and allow additional time for transportation and entry screening.

Facility Closures During Air Fest

AAFES Facilities Closure Information (September 20, 2026):

  • Misawa Air Base Exchange will be closed  
  • Food Court will be closed
    • Pizza Hut will be set up on the Flightline
    • Baskin Robbins, Charley’s, Einstein Bagels, Taco Bell and Subway will have booths set up on the grassy area adjacent to the food court
  • Burger King will be opened from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Popeyes will be opened from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • The Express Shoppette will be opened 24/7
  • Gas Station will be closed

AAFES facilities will resume normal hours of operation September 21, 2026.

The Misawa Air Base Commissary will be closed on Sunday, September 20, 2026 for Air Fest. On Monday September 21, the commissary will open with full service instead of self-checkout only.

AFN will broadcast Air Fest live on AM 1575 during the event
