More than 25 non-commissioned officers and senior NCO’s attended the week-long First Sergeant Symposium at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Oct. 20, 2017. The purpose of events like this one is to not only teach additional duty first sergeants what it means to fill the role but also to share knowledge with those who might be interested in wearing a diamond in the future.
