MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan - U.S. Air Force Airman Gabriel Bormann, right, 35th Civil Engineering Squadron emergency manager, leads a group through a hands-on activity during a bilateral chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) training at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Jan. 30, 2025. Bilateral training in CBRN response allows both the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and the 35th Fighter Wing to refine their capabilities and improve coordination in handling such threats, strengthening regional security and enhancing operational readiness in the Indo-Pacific.
