U.S. and Japanese military leaders from Misawa Air Base met with Misawa City officials during the annual Community Relations Advisory Council meeting on Feb. 5 at the Misawa International Center to discuss programs that will promote the community and build bilateral relations.

"Every time we do this program, the exchange of the Japanese Airmen and the Air Force Airmen builds ties. They make connections, they make friendships, they learn a little bit about each other's cultures and the benefit in the long run is that we've learned and made lifelong friends, that if called upon in the future, hopefully can assist us."

35th Fighter Wing, 3rd Air Wing commanders integrate in bilateral familiarization flights
