Wild Weasel Walk-Through: 35th Operations Support Squadron SERE

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kevin Zamora, 35th Operations Support Squadron Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) specialist, guides Chief Master Sgt. Joey R. Meininger, 35th Fighter Wing command chief, through a virtual reality jump training on the Parachute Simulator (PARASIM) during a Wild Weasel Walk-Through at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Oct. 26, 2021. The PARASIM recreates the experience of a real parachute jump through the head-mounted 3D virtual reality display and the suspension harness that detects the jumper's inputs. The physics based parachute simulation technology imitates the conditions of a live jump using real world scenes, malfunctions, wind profiles, various weather conditions and a full library of terrain types.
