Family Focus
U.S. Air Force Capt. Joshua Hammans, a 35th Fighter Wing chaplain, and his children, look at a water stream during a 35th Fighter Wing chapel resiliency trip, at Ichinoseki, Japan, Sept. 15, 2018. The chapel took approximately 40 active-duty personnel and their dependents to Geibikei Gorge and Chuson-Ji Temple, Hiraizumi, Japan, in order to strengthen their spiritual and social aspects of the Comprehensive Airmen's Fitness pillars. According to Air Force studies, when Airmen are spiritually, physically, mentally and socially resilient, they reach optimal performance in their daily tasks, better executing the mission.
