U.S. Air Force Col. R. Scott Jobe, 35th Fighter Wing commander, grins during pre-flight inspections at Misawa AIr Base, Japan, Nov. 20, 2017. During the subsequent flight, Jobe's aircraft became the first U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon to exceed 9,500 flight hours. The aircraft is 27 years old.
