Airman drummer beats adversity with style
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyle Henaire, a 35th Communications Squadron radio frequency transmissions systems technician, poses for a photo at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Aug. 11, 2017. Henaire played the drums since he was 10 years old and continues to play as a way to stay resilient by practicing one of the four Comprehensive Airmen Fitness pillars. The four pillars-spiritual, mental, physical and social- are encouraged by the Air Force as a way of evaluating what components an Airman should maintain in their lifestyle in order to stay 'fit to fight' and ready to go at a moment's notice.
