U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Deana Heitzman, a public affairs photojournalist and physical therapy patient with the 35th Fighter Wing, uses a tension band at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Sept. 13, 2016. Heitzman suffered a Lisfranc injury requiring two surgeries as well as physical therapy. Physical therapy technicians help patients like Heitzman restore motor functions, improve mobility and relieve pain to help them heal and achieve overall wellness.
