American Day

A local women’s dance troupe performed as one of the many acts in the parade through Misawa city streets Sunday morning for the 18th annual American Day festival. The parade, which started on White Pole Road and ended at the train park, included hundreds of volunteers from the Misawa community. Thousands of people came out to participate in the twoday event. American Day is just one of the many festivals that celebrate the friendship between Misawa’s Japanese and American neighbors. (Photo by Staff Sgt. Vann Miller)
