VORTAC Facility Maintenance

The roof housing Misawa Air Base's dual-purpose Very High-Frequency Omni-Directional Radio Range and Tactical Air Navigation systems was recently repaired, to help ensure this homing beacon, which tells aircraft from anywhere in the world – military and civilian – they’re in the vicinity of the installation and Misawa City Airport, will continue to signal without fail.
