Rain can't stop Misawa Air Festival 2012

Audience members play Taiko drums at the Air Festival, Sept. 9, 2012, at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Taiko originated as a form of spiritual worship and is now used in a variety of venues like Japanese festivals and film scores. Thousands of people visited the base during the air festival to see aircraft demonstrations, static displays and flybys. They also had an opportunity to enjoy local and foreign foods and entertainment events sponsored by the U.S. and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
