Family fun run in Oirase Town Ginkgo

Oirase Town is holding the 22nd Gingko Fun Run June 24. Participants can run either 3, 5 or 10 kilometers. Starting at the Statue of Liberty replica, participants run around Ichou Park and neighboring areas, on an out and back course. The course is less than five minutes from Shimoda Shopping Center. 

Participants can enter in the following categories:
: 10 kilometer for 16 and over
: 5  kilometer for 16 and over
: 3  kilometer for 16 and over
: 3  kilometer for 3-15 years old
: 3 kilometer for grades 5-6
: 3  kilometer for grades 3-4
: 3  kilometer for grades 1-2

Please include your name address and point of contact in the e-mail. Entry fees are 2,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for school-aged entrants. Entries will close at 4 p.m. May 25; however due to processing demands please contact the above office before May 22. 

All participants will get a free bowl of soup after the race. The run will continue regardless of weather conditions.

Directions
From the main gate: 
Turn left and continue to Route 338 about 5 kilometers. Turn right at the T intersection and follow the main road into Oirase Town. After another 8 kilometers, go past a junior high school on the right and go down a hill. Turn left at the intersection and drive 0.4 kilometers. The park entrance is on the left.
From the Shimoda Shopping Center 
Take Route 45 toward Hachinohe. Go past Million Pachinko on the right and at the next light turn left onto Route 338. Go through the next set of lights and take the right at the Lawson convenience store. Drive another 0.4 kilometers. The park entrance is on the left.
