MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Nonjudicial Punishments (Article 15):
The following personnel at Misawa AB were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) in the fourth quarter of 2017:
Two staff sergeants each received an Article 15 for a technical order violation. The members each received a suspended reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.
A senior airman received an Article 15 for being drunk while on duty. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman and 30 days extra duty.
A senior airman received an Article 15 for violating a No Contact Order issued by their commander. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman first class and a reprimand.
An airman first class received an Article 15 for punching another airman first class in the face. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $90.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.
An airman first class received an Article 15 for lying to security forces patrolmen about a fight. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, restriction to base for 14 days, and a reprimand.
An airman first class received an Article 15 for underage drinking and punching a staff sergeant in the face. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, restriction to base for 30 days, 15 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
A master sergeant received an Article 15 for drunk driving. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of technical sergeant, forfeiture of $400.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.
A technical sergeant received an Article 15 for threatening to give a Letter of Counseling unless the subordinate gave the member a bottle of whiskey. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of staff sergeant and a reprimand.
Discharges
An airman basic was involuntarily separated for Drug Abuse with a General Service Characterization.
An airman first class was involuntarily separated for Misconduct: Minor Disciplinary Infractions with a General Service Characterization.
