Bradley Haywood, the 35th Fighter Wing Equal Opportunity NCO in charge, received this recognition because of his ability to inspire his peers to perform at their best, ensuring that Airmen receive the support they need to complete their daily responsibilities.
  • Three airframes, one mission: Misawa PAC Weasel

    Members of the 13th and 14th Fighter Squadrons, the 610th Air Control Flight, U.S. Navy Electronic Attack Squadron 209 and Patrol Squadron One, executed Exercise PACIFIC WEASEL at Misawa Air Base, Japan, over Draughon Range, June 19, 2020. The objective of this exercise was to integrate U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force assets to simulate the suppression of enemy air defenses and increase interoperability between the two services. This exercise incorporated a total of 21 aircraft, to include F-16 Fighting Falcons, EA-18G Growlers and a P-8 Poseidon.

Members of the 35th Fighter Wing and other units throughout the Western Pacific train at the range to focus on SEAD and munition employment, combat search and rescue, and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape, ultimately enhancing the readiness and lethality of U.S. forces in this region.

  • For the 35th Fighter Wing, the mission continues

    The 35th Fighter Wing’s mission of projecting combat air power and defending the U.S. and Japan moves forward. “Despite the current COVID-19 crisis, our mission continues,” said Maj. David Dubel, the 14th Fighter Squadron director of operations. “This is a difficult yet opportune time for everyone to prove we can carry on with the mission regardless of the trials that stand before us. We have to proceed to do what we do here to ensure we are ready to answer our nation’s call.”
