The 35th FW kicks off RED FLAG-Alaska 19-1
Exercise RED FLAG-Alaska 19-1 kicked off at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Oct. 4 with primary flying operations being executed over the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex. Misawa Air Base’s 35th Fighter Wing is serving as the lead unit throughout the Pacific Air Forces-sponsored training.

Determination, detonation and EOD reconnaissance initiation
The 35th CES EOD flight worked on foundational practices for unexploded ordnance reconnaissance missions with 11 Japan Air Self-Defense Force explosive ordnance disposal Airmen assigned with the Tohoku Subordinate Base, Tohoku, Japan and the 3rd Air Wing, March 29 and 30.

Team Misawa strengthens alliances at 2018 Singapore International Airshow
More than 100,000 attendees witnessed pure airpower at the 2018 Singapore International Airshow, geared toward building stronger relations between Singapore and 50 other countries through static displays and aerial performances, Feb. 6-11. The Pacific Air Forces’ F-16 Demonstration Team out of Misawa Air Base, Japan, conducted 10 performances

Cope Taufan 16, enhances U.S., Malaysia interoperability
A closing ceremony for Cope Taufan 16 was held at Butterworth Air Base, Malaysia, July 29. Cope Taufan 16 provided an excellent opportunity to improve combined readiness and interoperability between the U.S. and Malaysia. This large force employment exercise included operations in air superiority, airborne command and control, close air support, interdiction, air refueling and tactical airlift and air drop.
