Boccia Ball at Misawa

A City of Misawa government worker translates instructions to the Sollars Elementary School students before a boccia ball game at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 13, 2021. The game was first played in ancient Rome and is a sport in the Paralympic Games. The donated boccia ball sets were a part of the Misawa City Inclusive & Diversity Promotion Committee program during the year that Tokyo held the Paralympic Games.
