Through the eyes of another

U.S. Air Force Maj. Ethan Woodbury, the 35th Aerospace Medicine Squadron optometry flight commander, uses a slit lamp to examine a patient’s eyes at Misawa Air Base, Japan, March 9, 2017. Slit lamps determine a patient’s ocular health by examining areas including the eyelids, cornea and iris. The 35th FW’s foundation is people and ensuring Airmen are prepared to execute the mission of Pacific stability and security at all times and the Misawa Optometry clinic does just that.
