Counting the capsules

U.S. Air Force Maj. Francisco Boral, a pharmacist with the 35th Medical Support Squadron, verifies the count of a controlled medication at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Feb. 4, 2016. As part of their mandatory double-checks process, Air Force pharmacists must recount prescriptions before issuing them to patients. Boral said that sometimes the count they receive from manufacturers is not what is listed on the label. This process ensures the safety of both patients and their medical providers. Boral is an Oxnard, California, native. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Benjamin W. Stratton)
