U.S. Air Force Airmen with the 35th Medical Group are lowered from a KC-135 Stratotanker at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 4, 2015. As part of exercise Vigilant Ace 16, a high deck patient loading platform was connected to the aircraft to remove patients with mock injuries. During the aeromedical evacuation, medical personnel were then testing on their reactions to the wounded and their ability to transport them to the hospital safely.
