Komatsu supports 35 FW during ATR

Lt. Gen. Toshiya Okabe, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force deputy chief of joint staff, sits in the cockpit of an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Komatsu Air Base, Japan, while receiving a briefing from Lt. Col. Jeffrey Cohen, 14th Fighter Squadron commander, and a maintainer from Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 10, 2014. Cohen and maintainers from Misawa are at Komatsu to train with members of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force as part of the Aviation Training Relocation Program which allows U.S. and Japanese forces to further enhance their interoperability and joint partnership by conducting training away from the U.S. forces' home station. This simultaneously provides a noise respite for those living near the U.S. Air Force installations of the units participating in ATRs throughout Japan. (Courtesy photo)
