Airman adventures: Aomori's Nebuta Matsuri

A team of more than 20 Japanese citizens carries a massive Nebuta float during the annual Nebuta Matsuri at Aomori City, Japan, Aug 2. 2014. These large floats are constructed of paper mache and can be as large as 30 feet wide and 20 feet tall, often depicting historical Japanese characters or folktales. Each float has a different theme to its design and many are sponsored by local companies. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Patrick S. Ciccarone)
