Roland Ibanez, Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachement Misawa officer in charge, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Angela Knipper, Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment Misawa, add ham to Misawa's Longest Submarine Sandwich at the commissary Oct. 24, 2008. The two, along with more than 30 of their Navy comrades, spread mayonnaise, laid ham and cheese and added lettuce and tomato in an effort to make Japan's longest submarine sandwich in history.
