Wild Weasels sharpen the sword

An F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 35th Fighter Wing takes off at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 21, 2010. The sortie launched in support of exercise Keen Sword, a bilateral training exercise involving U.S. and Japanese military members. Keen Sword is a regularly scheduled exercise that aims to strengthen Japan-U.S. military interoperability and increase readiness to respond to varied crisis situations. The field training exercise is scheduled Dec. 3-10 and is the tenth join-bilateral field training exercise since 1986 involving Japan Self Defense Forces and the U.S. military.
