Bilateral forces come together to 'Guard, Protect'

Two 35th Security Forces Squadron members, role-playing as opposing forces, lie prone before ambushing Japan Ground Self Defense Force’s command post, Dec. 4, 2010 during a bilateral guard and protect exercise at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Opposing forces simulated hostile enemy actions against Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Japan Air Self Defense Force, and the 35th SFS and tested the combined force’s ability to protect Misawa’s war fighting assets.
