MISAWA, Japan (Aug. 18, 2011) - A replica of Miss Veedol flies over the Misawa Air Museum during a demonstration flight in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the first nonstop transpacific flight. Miss Veedol, a 1931 Bellanca Skyrocket J-400, departing from Misawa and landing in East Wenatchee Wash., was the first aircraft to fly across the Pacific Ocean nonstop.
