MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan – Airman 1st Class Brittany White, 35th Communications Squadron communications security clerk, directs traffic Sept. 4. The 35th Security Forces Squadron used approximately 90 augmentees to assist in traffic control. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the 35th Fighter Wing, with associated tenant units, hosted more than 100,000 visitors at Misawa's annual air fest Sept. 4. Air Fest 2011 was an opportunity for visitors to see eight aerial demonstrations with 19 static displays of JASDF, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy aircraft and private operators.
