Flight with new fight; wing’s F-16s fully upgraded

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Charles Barkley Jr., 13th Aircraft Maintenance Unit dedicated crew chief, helps buckle Maj. Ryan Wartman, 14th Fighter Squadron pilot, into the seat of an F-16 Fighting Falcon, Nov. 7, 2012 at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Wartman test flew the last jet of the wing’s F-16 fleet to receive full upgrades. Upgrades include a new internal navigation system, avionics program and an on-board oxygen generating system, which will help increase the wing’s operational capability and improve Pacific Theater security.
