Helicopter 101 aboard the USS Shiloh

A member of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron, Detachment 4, teaches U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Warren, left, 1st Lt. Preston Phillips and Staff Sgt. Devon Sonley, all assigned to the 35th Fighter Wing, about the SH-60B helicopter's magnetic anomaly detector during a visit aboard the U.S. Navy’s USS Shiloh that supported joint-service training over the Pacific Ocean throughout the month of May. The services executed both Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses – the primary mission of the 35th Fighter Wing’s Wild Weasels -- and defensive counter-air missions, using the USS Shiloh as both a surface-to-air missile site and control station to guide F-16s.
