Seatbelt Safety
MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Misawa residents caught driving without wearing a seatbelt will receive a one-month suspension of base driving privileges for their first offense. If caught a second time within a 12-month period, drivers will receive a three-month suspension. Misawa Air Base kayakers rescued at sea
Members of the Japanese Coast Guard rescue kayakers from the Pacific Ocean in northern Japan May 23. Four people attached to Misawa Air Base went missing when they failed to return from an afternoon kayak trip the day before. Misawa's encouraged to drive to arrive
MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Tech. Sgt. Robert Starkweather, 35th Security Forces Squadron senior patrolman, assesses vehicle damage from an accident that occurred in concrete canyon May 11.
