Still time to donate to AF Assistance Fund Published April 16, 2007 By Col. T.J. O'Shaughnessy 35th Fighter Wing commander MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 2007 Air Force Assistance Fund runs through May 6 -- if you haven't donated to this year's fund, you still have time to do so. We have a little ways to go to meet this year's goal and I urge each of you to give whatever you can to help those who benefit from this worthy cause. Your charitable contributions help the Air Force Village Foundation, the Air Force Aid Society, the General and Mrs. Curtis E. Lemay Foundation, and the Air Force Enlisted Village. These organizations help Air Force people who are in financial emergencies and provide secure retirement homes for widows and widowers of Air Force members who need financial assistance. We're almost there Misawa, and with your help, we'll make this year's goal. To donate, please contact Master Sgt. Alec Rehms at 226-1482. I hope you'll reflect on the blessings in your life and join me in contributing to the Air Force Assistance Fund.
