We'd like to address a subject that we take very seriously and that's "Unwavering Professionalism." As U.S. military members, civilians or family members, we are all considered ambassadors for the U.S. to the Japanese. Military members no matter what service are considered U.S. officials. In fact we enjoy such positive relations here in northern Japan, that the community even considers us to be "citizens of Misawa."

This means we all need to be conscience of our conduct at all times while living here in Japan. The U.S.-Japan alliance is built on the power of personal and professional relationships. One incident involving misconduct can severely damage that relationship and have an impact at the highest levels.

One of the greatest benefits of a U.S. military assignment to Japan is the opportunity to live and work together with our Japanese partners. Through commitment to the policy of unwavering professionalism, Team Misawa will continue to be role models for our nation, as well as caring and responsible citizens in Japan. Thank you for all you do!
