The Airman that was found yesterday morning has been identified as Maj. Mario L. Tellez of the 35th Civil Engineering Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan.
The cause of death is still under investigation and details will be released as they become available.

A Misawa Air Base member was found unresponsive in an on-base residence and declared dead Thursday morning.
"Every person on this base plays a vital role in our lives, personally and professionally. Losing one of our own makes Misawa hurt in ways I cannot describe," said Col. R. Scott Jobe, 35th Fighter Wing commander. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and coworkers."
The incident is under investigation; further details will be released as they become available.
The identity of the individual is being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin has been notified.
