35th LRS HYMORE fuels the mission

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron began operating the Hydrant Mobile Refueler system here, March 22, to fuel different aircraft across the wing.

The new HYMORE system is able to syphon a virtually unlimited amount of fuel from an underground fuel line without having to refill back at the petroleum, oil and lubrication station. This keeps the base's high operations tempo rolling by rapidly fueling the wing's aircraft, which fly roughly 155 sorties a week.

As a versatile fueling machine, the HYMORE system ultimately cuts the wait time down between refueling, keeping the 35th Fighter Wing's flying mission airborne.
