Each year, Cookie Caper volunteers from Misawa Air Base, Japan, bake sweets for distribution to single and unaccompanied service members on the base, Dec. 9, 2013. MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Volunteers and members of the Misawa community donated more than 20,000 cookies to the base's unaccompanied service members who are unable to spend the holidays with their families. The purpose of this annual event is to provide care and a sense of family to the single and unaccompanied service members stationed here at Misawa Air Base.
