MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Members from the Misawa and Aomori police stations, along with Misawa Air Base and 35th Security Forces Squadron leadership attended a meeting for the annual Safety and Crime Prevention Campaign hosted by the city's municipal authorities prior to going on a joint-bilateral town patrol. As a part of the campaign and the town patrol, base leadership met with owners of local establishments. The purpose of town patrol is to ensure the safety of the base's military members, while establishing good rapport with the local community and establishment owners.
