Each week, a member of the 35th Fighter Wing is selected as the Wild Weasel of the Week. These individuals are handpicked by their leadership to be recognized for their superior performance, outstanding work ethic and overall good conduct and discipline.

Senior Airman Mark Hudson, 35 Maintenance Squadron aerospace ground equipment journeymen, is the WWOW for the week of Jan. 6.

Where are you from?
I am from the great state of Ohio. Born and raised in the city of Findlay.

What's your favorite thing about being stationed in Japan?
I have an enormous passion for history, as I want to be a history teacher when I finish my career with the military. Japan definitely has a culture where they preserve the history extremely well. Being able to go to different Shrines and visiting national treasures is what I love about being stationed here.

What is your primary professional goal at this point in your career?
My primary professional goal is a basic goal for most. However, for me this is my top priority -- I want to make this a career at least 20 years. I know that with the reduction in military it is becoming a more competitive Air Force. This is why I am always doing what I can to improve myself and others around me.

What motivates you?
I am from a hard working blue collar type of town back in the States. Always doing the right thing and being a better person is what motivates me. There is nothing quite like the satisfaction of a hard day's work and knowing you did everything you could to be a better person.

Major accomplishments:
