MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan --
The Air Force Civil Engineer, Maj. Gen. Theresa C. Carter, visited Misawa Air Base, Japan, Feb. 1-3 during her tour of installations within the Pacific Air Forces command . During her visit, she presented a Bronze Star Medal to Senior Master Sgt. Matthew L. Newlon, 35 CES infrastructure superintendent, during an all call Feb. 2. Newlon was awarded the BSM for his outstanding work while deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, in support of Operation NEW DAWN.
