Each week a member of the 35th Fighter Wing is selected as the Wild Weasel of the Week. This individual is recognized based on superior performance, outstanding work ethic, and overall good conduct and discipline.

The 35th Maintenance Squadron chose Airman 1st Class Paul N. Taylor, fuels systems repair jouneyman, from New Orleans, La., as its Wild Weasel of the Week.

What's your daily mission?
To ensure aircraft are properly maintained so we can accomplish our mission..."To fly, fight, and win."

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy the pride I get from doing my job. Not everyone can say they directly affect the mission of the Air Force.

Why did you choose to serve in the military?
I felt if I went to college I wouldn't be doing so well financially. I knew that joining the military would be a good choice.  My sister, who is a Tech. Sgt., recommended I join the Air Force.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her?
My mother, Tamatha Taylor. She taught me that no matter how hard things get in life, I should keep pushing until it gets better. It's only for a season.

Goals you want to achieve or meet while in Misawa?
I would like to better understand the ins-and-out of the F-16 prior to PCSing to Osan Air Base in December. I would also like to save $20,000.

Time in Misawa:
15 months

Time in the military:
21 months
