The 35th Security Forces Squadron chose Senior Airman Jeremy Johnson, pass and registration clerk, from Stafford, Va., as its Wild Weasel of the Week.

What's your daily mission?
As a pass and registration clerk, my office processes entry authorization lists, base pass requests, restricted area badges and registers personnel and their families to our defense biometrics identification system. We hold a driving course every Tuesday and provide help with the process of transferring, junking and selling vehicles.

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy the opportunity to work in an office that has a family-like feel to it, while being able to interact with customers that I otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Why did you choose to serve in the military?
I chose to serve for the educational benefits, the ability to travel, and to follow in my father's footsteps.

What is your favorite thing about being in Japan?
I love the culture. The people are friendly and helpful, and the festivals are awesome.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her?
My father. He is knowledgeable, kind and strong. Over the years he's given me so much advice and is someone whom I wish to be like years from now.

Time in Misawa: 1 year 8 months

Time in military: 3 years 4 months

Goals you want to achieve or meet while in Misawa?
I plan to finish my third class here at Misawa, bringing me one step closer to receiving my Community College of the Air Force degree.

Supervisor's remarks:
"Senior Airman Johnson works hard to embody the core value of "Excellence in All We Do" through the customer service that he provides Misawa Air Base on a daily basis. He is a hard worker and willing to go above and beyond to learn a new aspect of the job. He has been working with us for about six months now and fit into our office family from day one. I know our office and the 35th Security Forces Squadron will be losing a huge asset when he goes onto his next assignment this summer." -Staff. Sgt. Kellie Johnson, 35th SFS NCO in charge of pass and registration
