Wild Weasel of the Week: Airman 1st Class Nicole King

Each week a member of the 35th Fighter Wing is selected as the Wild Weasel of the Week. This individual is recognized based on superior performance, outstanding work ethic, and overall good conduct and discipline.

The 35th Maintenance Group chose Airman 1st Class Nicole King, time compliance technical orders journeyman, from Shiprock, N.M., as its Wild Weasel of the Week.

What's your daily mission? 
I track and document all one-time changes, modifications, inspections of equipment, or installation of new equipment on the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy dealing with the different agencies of the wing to ensure the equipment used for the flying mission here are at the highest efficient quality of use.

Why did you choose to serve in the military?
I chose to serve the military to further my education and travel the world.

What is your favorite thing about being in Japan?
Being able to see and experience a lot of the Japanese culture.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her?
My supervisor, Staff Sgt. Christina Cummins. Not only has she taught me everything about my job, but she also laid out future options I have for school and my career, as well as how to deal with finances.

Time in Misawa:
1 year 6 months

Time in military: 1 year 11 months
