Courts-Martial for April 2014 Published May 14, 2014 35th Fighter Wing Legal Office MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The following courts-martial recently convened at Misawa Air Force Base: U.S. vs. Staff Sgt. Andre Lewis On April 21, 2014, Staff Sgt. Andre K. Lewis, 35th Force Support Squadron, was convicted at a General Court-Martial convened at Misawa AB, Japan, by a military judge sitting alone. Lewis was convicted of two specifications of aggravated sexual assault, one specification of abusive sexual contact, two specifications of making false official statements to AFOSI, and assault consummated by a battery. Lewis was sentenced to a reduction in rank to E-1, a Dishonorable Discharge, total forfeitures of all pay and allowances, and confinement for six years. U.S. vs. Airman 1st Class Jacob S. Lombardi On April 25, 2014, Airman 1st Class Jacob S. Lombardi, 35th Fighter Wing, was convicted at a General Court-Martial convened at Misawa AB, Japan, by a military judge. Lombardi pleaded guilty to, and was convicted of, one specification of attempted aggravated sexual contact, one specification of aggravated sexual contact, one specification of assault consummated by a battery, one specification of dereliction of duty for underage drinking, and one specification of adultery. Lombardi pleaded not guilty to one specification of sexual assault. This specification was dismissed pursuant to a pre-trial agreement. He was sentenced to a reduction in rank to the lowest enlisted grade, total forfeitures of all pay and allowances, confinement for 12 months, and a Bad Conduct Discharge. U.S. vs. Airman 1st Class Taylor D. Martinoli On April 18, 2014 Airman 1st Class Taylor D. Martinoli, 35th Dental Squadron, was convicted at a Summary Courts-Martial convened at Misawa Air Base, Japan, by Summary Court Martial Officer. She pled guilty to two specifications of failure to go and one specification of false official statement. Her punishment was reduction to E-1, forfeiture of $543.44 pay per month for one month and confinement for 22 days. U.S. vs. Airman 1st Class Julius D. Landis On April 14, 2014, Airman 1st Class Julius D. Landis, 35th Maintenance Squadron, was convicted at a Summary Courts-Martial convened at Misawa Air Base, Japan, by Summary Court Martial Officer. He pled guilty of 11 specifications of failure to go, one specification of disrespect to a senior noncommissioned officer, and one specification of false official statement. His punishment was reduction to E-1, Forfeiture of $1000 pay per month for one month, and confinement for 30 days.
