Misawa defenders earn place on Special Reaction Team

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- U.S. Air Force defenders from the 35th Security Forces Squadron trained to become the newest members of the squadron's Special Reaction Team, which is the USAF's version of a Special Weapons and Tactics team. A total of eight Airmen tried out and were put through a rigorous day of training that included lengthy ruck marches, buddy carries and weapons and tactics techniques. Following completion, the Airmen earned a SRT patch and now join a team that specializes in high-risk situations and emergencies.
