MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Following a volunteer initiative by Airman Leadership School 14-Echo Class students to renovate the Leftwich Park baseball field, the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron helped complete the last finishing touches on the grounds, July 2, 2014. After a snow-packed winter, the baseball field was worn down and unusable, with countless shrubs growing throughout the area with the arrival of spring. A team of Airmen assigned to the Heavy Equipment and Pavements section of the 35 CES brought their tools and equipment out to scrub the grounds and refine the soil to ensure the field was ready for use.
