Misawa's pharmacy prescribes the secret for success

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Assisting more than 10,000 beneficiaries and filling approximately 200 prescriptions daily, members of the 35th Medical Support Squadron's pharmacy flight ensure Misawa Airmen and families are healthy and knowledgeable when it comes to the use of prescribed medicine. When an order comes in from a doctor, the pharmacy team will consult their inventory to ensure they are stocked with the prescription needed. If the medication is available, the pharmacist prepares the prescription order to be filled and processed by verifying it belongs to the correct patient before pick up. The prescription reaches its journey's end when the patient comes to retrieve it and is properly informed of the medication's correct dosage use.
