Misawa Air Base's annual Cookie Caper provided more than 20,000 cookies to approximately 2,500 single and unaccompanied U.S. and Japan Air Self-Defense Force service members here, Dec. 9.

The process began two days prior with a seven-hour baking session at the Misawa Commissary where more than 300 dozen cookies were made by volunteers. The cookie dough was donated by community members and the Commissary.

During a span of two days, the home-baked cookies were brought to the Mutsu Officers' Club for sorting and packaging by volunteers. First sergeants and unit members dispersed the cookies to members of their squadrons.
