Legal Blotter - 1st Qtr 2016 Published April 13, 2016 35th Fighter Wing Office of the Staff Judge Advocate MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- During 2016's 1st quarter, 14 Misawa Airmen received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice. Commanders used the following as a means of punishment, rehabilitation, and maintaining good order and discipline. Nonjudicial Punishments (Articles 15): An airman first class received reduction to the grade of E-1, 30 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, indecent language. An airman first class received reduction to the grade of E-1, suspended forfeiture of $783 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 111, UCMJ, drunken operation of a vehicle; and one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, fleeing scene of accident. An airman first class received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-2, forfeiture of $608 pay, 30 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 108, UCMJ, damage to military property; and one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, drunkenness. An airman first class received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-1, a reduction to the grade of E-2, 45 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, 45 days extra duty, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 111, UCMJ, drunken operation of a vehicle. A senior airman received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-3, 60 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, UCMJ, dereliction in the performance of duties. A senior airman received a reduction to the grade of E-2, 45 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 86, UCMJ, absence without leave; and one violation of Article 107, UCMJ, false official statement. A senior airman received a reduction to the grade of E-2, 45 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, 14 days extra duty, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 86, UCMJ, absence without leave. A staff sergeant received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-4, forfeiture of $535 pay per month for two months, 16 days extra duty, and a reprimand for two violations of Art 134, UCMJ, indecent language and drunkenness. A staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of E-4, forfeiture of $1,241 pay per month for 2 months, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, UCMJ, dereliction in the performance of duties. A staff sergeant received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-4, forfeiture of $325 pay per month for 2 months, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 107, UCMJ, false official statement; and one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, disorderly conduct, drunkenness. A staff sergeant received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-4, 30 days extra duty (suspended), and a reprimand for one violation of Article 128, UCMJ, assault; and one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, communicating a threat. A staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of E-4, 45 days restriction to the limits of Misawa Air Base, 45 days extra duty, and a reprimand for two violations of Article 92, UCMJ, dereliction in the performance of duties. A technical sergeant received a reduction to the grade of E-5 and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, UCMJ, failure to obey order; and one violation of Article 128, UCMJ, assault. A senior master sergeant received a reduction to the grade of E-7 and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, UCMJ, dereliction in the performance of duties; and one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, adultery. Summary Court-Martial: A senior airman was sentenced to seven days confinement and a reprimand for one violation of Article 87, UCMJ, missing movement; one violation of Article 89, UCMJ, disrespect toward superior commissioned officer; three violations of Article 91, UCMJ, insubordinate conduct toward noncommissioned officer; two violations of Article 128, UCMJ, assault; and one violation of Article 134, UCMJ, disorderly conduct, drunkenness. Administrative Discharges: Two airmen received an Under Honorable Conditions (General) Administrative Discharge for Misconduct: a pattern of misconduct. An airman first class received an Honorable Administrative Discharge for Unsatisfactory Performance: failure to meet minimum fitness standards. Misawa Civilian Adjudication Program (MCAP): Eight dependents were ordered to complete 230 combined hours of community service. Three dependents were also banned from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for a total of 390 days. One dependent's 4EJ was suspended for 180 days.
