Sports Briefs (click on this link for full coverage) Published July 8, 2007 MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Air Force Ball golf tournament -- The Air Force Ball golf tournament is Aug. 31 with a check-in time of 6 a.m. and a shotgun start at 7 a.m. The four-man tournament cost is $25 plus green fees and cart.· Prizes will be award for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, last place, longest drive and closest to the pin. Circuit Training classes -- The Potter Fitness Center has Fitness Improvement Circuit Training classes Tuesday and Thursday. This is in addition to unit physical training sessions. Classes will be held 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and 6 to 7 a.m. Thursdays. Circuit training involves a total cardio body workout and strength training. Different stations will use isolated body movements with two, one-minute water breaks. Swimming lessons -- The Himberg pool is offering Swim lessons and water aerobics. Lessons offered include youth levels one through six, water babies, water toddlers and adult learn-to-swim classes. For more information, call 226-9378. Personal trainer program available -- Want to lose weight or are you in training for an upcoming sport or fitness event? Come over to the Potter Fitness Center and have one-on-one sessions with a professionally certified personal trainer. Sessions are $25 per hour and will include identifying goals and objectives, hands-on training and building a comprehensive workout plan to help you maintain the physique and body composition you are looking for.
